Ah, a snow day. The kids in Louisville are now going on a 5 day weekend. I know my friends with school-age kiddos must be losing their minds at present, scrambling to find child care as workplaces don't cancel as easily as school!
My friends from northern cities always get a good chuckle out of how snow is dealt with in places like Louisville, Nashville, and Atlanta. We can't seem to help it, we all bug out here. While I am fully capable of driving my Toyota Highlander in the snow, I stay off the roads due to other drivers. I've watched people on my residential street since the snow started falling and they seem to fall into two categories: go as slow as possible and be overly cautious OR go faster than they normally would, perhaps due to annoyance at the slower cars. I watched a Honda Accord nearly spin out as it flew through the stop sign intersection by my house this week!
I am NOT a fan of cold weather, and can usually only handle a bit of snow before my psyche starts telling me to somehow head south to warmer weather. However, it has been a JOY to watch my dogs and some friendly dogs play in the snow! Here are some pictures of my doggies playing to make you all smile on this dreary day!
