Hi, my name is Cathy and I am a oenophile. I learned that word, and immediately began using it because: 1) it is true, I love wine and 2) it sounds funny.
I love giving gifts - trying to find the right thing for the right person. There are a lot of Oenophiles in my life, and I've put together some of the best gifts you could give them!
So, this is one of my go-to items - ESPECIALLY IN THE WINTER! I loveeeee red wine but it doesn't always make me feel great in the morning. I've been using the Ullo Wine Filter for a while now, and maybe its in my head but I swear it keeps me from the usual red wine hangover.
More great options include wine gadgets and helpful wipes. I LOVE my electric wine opener - it is so unnecessary but feels so decadent. I use these wine stoppers (on the rare occasion I cannot finish the bottle..) and have been a devotee of these wine wipes since I first found them.
Wine decor is a common theme at my house. I have this cork trivet on my coffee table, and I very much enjoyed saving my prettiest corks to put in it! The cork catcher is the same idea! I found these adorable champagne ornaments a few years ago - perfect for any bubbly loving friend. Finally, these ReWined candles have become a mainstay of my gift closet. I love the look of the light flickering in the repurposed wine bottle AND the scents are to die for!
A very useful gift would be the Winesulator. This is like a Swell bottle, but it HOLDS AN ENTIRE BOTTLE OF WINE. It also fits in many large purses. It will keep your whites and bubblies cold, and also will disguise your reds ;). I've used it to take wine and prosecco to outdoor polo matches and more!
Finally, some of my favorite wine glasses have been gifts. Pretty wineglasses will NEVER be unappreciated. I am currently OBSESSED with the old style champagne drink glass - I am hoping to get some myself for Christmas! Stemless champagne and wine glasses are my GO TO, though!
Finally, some fun things like a corkcicle or champagne gummy bears would make great gifts!
